Over 7000 islands, all with trails, nice paved roads, single
trails and even downhill rides through sugar canes fields
but ending on the beach with a swim. And just 2 guys to
explore it all and write it down? No way !!!
Although we did a severe lot of riding! Living there for
three years, riding trails on weekdays, long roadrides in
the weekends and for holidays multiple day trips through
the whole region we covered a lot ourselves. Counting all
days together each of us cycled around 360 days (1 year
!!!) through the country.
But this book would not be as accurate and detailed as it
is now without the help of the local bike shops, mountainbike
groups, roadies and so on. Always welcome to show you new
trails on new islands these guys made the book to what it
is now. This book is for you! Come over to other islands,
explore new trails, make new friends and don’t forget: “If
you can hike it, you can bike it”
What
others say about the book:
“The
Philippine has always had a lot of bike trails that, to
this day, have yet to be discovered and ridden. No one
has yet had the time to ride these trails, and write a
detailed description of the trails, for the benefit of
other mountain bikers. Until now. This book was prepared
specifically for the adventurous cyclist in mind, by adventurous
cyclists. It contains a wealth of information and advice
in preparing to embark on that one day, one week or even
longer adventure and explore the beauty the Philippines
has to offer. I am hopeful that with this book more cyclists
will discover the magnificent bike trails that the country
has to offer. I am also certain that this book will serve
the worthy purpose of promoting cyclo-tourism in the Philippines
and encourage more people to explore the numerous trails
contained in this book. Life is an adventure. Allow this
book to help let you live your own adventure.” Gregorio
